Instacrypt App — Android

Two ways to install: Obtainium (recommended, keeps the app updated) or the .apk directly.

Install with Obtainium (recommended)

Obtainium installs apps straight from their GitHub releases and notifies you when a new version is out, so Instacrypt stays current without a store.

  1. Install Obtainium:
    Get it on GitHubGet it on IzzyOnDroidGet it on F-Droid
  2. Add Instacrypt:
    Get it on Obtainium
    or in Obtainium, choose Add App and paste:
    https://github.com/instacryptio/ic-app
  3. If Obtainium asks which file to track, pick Instacrypt-App-android.apk (each release also ships an .aab, which is for Google Play and cannot be installed).
  4. Tap Install. From now on new releases show up in Obtainium as updates.

Install the APK manually

  1. Download the APK:
    Get it on GitHub
  2. Open the downloaded .apk.
  3. When prompted, allow installing from your browser / files app (Android asks once for "unknown sources").
  4. Tap Install.
